Who We Are
What started as a passion project has grown into a small South African business that started with the first hobby horse created in August 2022 - CHH Chocolate Chip still sits proudly in our little workshop to this day. Since then, almost 500 hobby horses have found their way to loving homes and can be found across South Africa and in countries around the world, including the UK, USA, Dubai, Cyprus, Mauritius, New Zealand, Namibia, Mozambique, Eswatini and Zambia.
Cindy’s Hobby Horses has grown into a mom-and-daughter team. Cindy carefully crafts each horse, giving it its own character and personality, while her mom, Renette, creates the tack and accessories that complete the look.
Together, we love creating special hobby horses that spark imagination, adventure, and joy — one handmade horse at a time.
We specialise in custom hobby horses, allowing riders to bring their dream hobby horse to life. Whether inspired by a beloved real horse, a favourite colour combination, or a completely unique imagination, we love turning ideas into a special companion.
